ITEC Diploma in reflexology

ReflexologyPre-requisite:

  • ITEC Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology plus units 347, 348, 349, 350 or equivalent
  • Please note: Other qualifications recognised by ITEC are confirmed as accredited prior learning and graded as a pass (including ITEC pre 2000)

Reflexology is a foot or hand treatment using finger and thumb pressures to access precise reflex points which represent the different areas of the body. Its aim is to restore and maintain balance to the entire system, so that healing can take place in optimal conditions.

Students will study:
  • History
  • Zone theory
  • Foot charts
  • Contraindications
  • Treatment of disorders
  • Disorders of feet and hands
Practical sessions will include:

Applying the techniques to a full treatment of the feet and hands as well as consultation and client handling.
There will be a half-day tutorial, to check individual techniques in a small group.

Examination
  • Theory paper - 50 multiple choice questions
Practical examination:
  • Consultation and treatment (1 hour)
Case studies:
  • 10 people (4 treatments each)

  • 60 Treatments
