ITEC Diploma in

These 3 subjects comprise the foundation for all the other ITEC complementary therapy courses and are integrated into a course designed to give thorough background knowledge as well as the confidence to begin professional therapy work. However the 3 parts can also be taken separately for those with prior qualifications.
Students will study:
- All body systems and their disorders
- Contraindications and benefits of massage
- Other complementary therapies
- Professional ethics and the Law
- Hygiene, first aid and safety
- Practice management
Practical sessions:
- Swedish massage techniques
- A full body massage
- Further off-syllabus techniques
Examination:
- Three theory papers (50 multiple choice questions each)
Practical exam
- Massage examination (45 minutes)
Case Studies:
- 5 Clients (4 treatments each)
