ITEC Diploma in Diet & Nutrition for Complementary Therapists
Pre-requisite:
ITEC Holistic Massage or other therapy qualification
This course enables students to provide nutritional advice for their clients to help improve health and lifestyle. Once qualified the therapist can use their additional knowledge to enhance their homecare advice when working in their own practice or in Health Clinics, Spas etc.
Students will study:
- The main nutrients required for a balanced diet
- Anti-nutrients
- Diet related disorders
- Dietary plans
- Digestive system function
- Abdominal massage
- Dietary requirements for special groups of people
Examination:
- Theory paper - 25 multiple choice questions
Case Studies:
- 5 people - dietary plan plus follow up consultations
